What to bring on your Balearic day charter

Whether you're setting sail on a catamaran or embracing a day exploring the coastline by power boat packing smart can make your day at sea. Here’s your ultimate checklist for what to bring on a day charter in the Balearics.
Swimwear
You’ll be swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun. Bring at least two pairs of your favourite swimsuit, bikini or swim shorts.
Sun ProtectionA good quality sunscreen (at least SPF 30+), a lip balm with SPF, a hat or cap, sunglasses ideally polarised a spray conditioner or heat protectant as this will protect your hair from sun and salt water damage. Extra Towels
While your charter yacht will provide towels, bringing your own beach towel can be a good idea also. Footwear
You’ll likely be barefoot on deck, but bring slip-on espadrilles sandals or flip-flops —especially if you plan to explore rocky coves or heading to a beach club during your charter. Versatile Clothing
Pack something lightweight and comfortable for lunch at a beach club or après-boat dining. A sundress or linen shirt and shorts, a lightweight maxi dress, a cover up kaftan or a flowy co-ord set are all great choices. Prioritise breathable fabrics like linen, cotton, or silk blends. A sweatshirt or lightweight cardigan is a good addition as even in July and August the evenings can be a little chilly. Snacks
Although you may have lunch booked at a beach club, have organised catering or the yachts crew to provide lunch onboard bringing a few of your favourite chocolates or a chilled bottle of rosé can add a personal touch to the day.Cosmetics
After a swim or before heading ashore, it’s nice to refresh. Bring: A face mist or and facial wipes and any grooming essentials (lipbalm, makeup, a hairbrush, deodorant, mints, perfume etc.) Entertainment
A good book or magazine for those quiet moments under the sun. A waterproof phone case for stunning sea selfies. A great playlist -most of our charter yachts are equipped with state of the art sound systems, your favourite playlist can set the perfect mood.
A cash tip is expected by the crew if you are happy with their service. We recommend between 5% and 10% of the overall charter fee.
